Olivia Natural cream deodorant – tea tree & lavender, 50 ml

A cream deodorant that is not an antiperspirant but an odour neutraliser: baking soda binds unpleasant odours, and corn starch binds moisture. It contains no aluminium salts, parabens or synthetic fragrances, and according to the manufacturer, when applied properly it protects for up to 12 hours.

Its scent is fresh, aromatic and slightly spicy: the distinctive, herbal notes of Australian tea tree oil are balanced by the softer, floral character of lavender. A distinct, clean-feeling, unisex scent – both women and men can use it.

The skin of the underarms is cared for by shea butter and cocoa butter, complemented by vitamin E. Jar packaging, 50 ml.

Usage:

Take about a pea-sized amount from the jar, warm it between your fingers and apply it thinly to your underarms. Spread it thoroughly, for at least 10–15 seconds, over every area. Wait 1–2 minutes before dressing – the right amount and thorough spreading are what protect you from marks left on clothes. Normally one use a day is enough; after bathing it can be applied again as needed. Do not use immediately after shaving.

What is worth knowing about baking soda deodorants:

Baking soda is alkaline, so in too large an amount or on sensitive skin it can cause redness and irritation – the dosage really matters here. If irritation appears, pause use, wait for the skin to recover, then try again with a smaller amount. If the baking soda granules become unevenly distributed in the jar over time, stir it with a clean spatula.

Storage:

Store at room temperature, protected from direct sunlight and strong heat – the plant-butter formula can soften in the heat.
